Jeff Kinard - Chief Architect



Jeff Kinard is a Senior Computer Engineering student with a minor in Data Science originally from Fort Worth, TX. He is interested in AI/ML with a focus in Computer Vision, NLP and neuroevolution. He is also interested in standard software development, data science and DevOps. He has worked as a coding instructor for high school kids, teaching Python programming and AI practices, and he has completed a summer internship with IBM as part of the Cloud and Cognitive Software division. As an intern with IBM, Jeff gained experience working on IBM's Cloud Pak for Data - Data Virtualization product as a backend developer. Jeff has worked with Python, Java, C/C++, R and Assembly-level languages, and he has worked with frameworks such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Away from the computer screen, Jeff likes to stay active through sports, running and hiking, and he enjoys hanging out with friends playing video games and board games. In Spring 2021, Jeff plans to graduate and work full-time for IBM in Raleigh, NC as a DevOps Engineer.


Michael Boyle - Meeting Facilitator



Michael Boyle is a senior in Software Engineering. He is interested in full stack web development and data science. Throught out college he has participated in three internships, one at american republic insurance and the other two at 3M. After college he has accepted a full time position working as a full stack devloper at 3M on the same team from his internship. In his free time he enjoys being active and spending time outdoors, this is done a lot through running with the Iowa State Running club, in which he is president.


Dylan Hodge - Test Engineer



Dylan Hodge is a Senior in Software Engineering. He is interested in web development, data science, and DevOps. He has held several internships with John Deere in fields like full stack web development, cloud security, and data science. In these positions, Dylan has worked with languages such as Python, Java, and Javascript, and with frameworks such as AngularJS, NumPy, matplotlib, Jenkins, Splunk, and Amazon Web Services. In his free time, Dylan likes to stay active through sports like tennis, disc golf, and racquetball. Dylan is planning on graduating after the Spring 2021 semester and continuing to work for John Deere.


Dylan Smith - Report Manager



Dylan Smith is a senior in Software Engineering with a minor in Cyber Security. Dylan is interested in web development and application development. Throughout his college career, he has been involved in two internships. As an intern at Hy-Vee, he gained expereince with full-stack web technologies. As an intern for Principal Financial Group, he was able to gain more experience with full-stack technologies. He was also a teaching assistant for Computer Science 227, where he assisted students who were learning Java. In addition to software development, Dylan enjoys listening and playing music. After college, Dylan has accepted a full time position at Principal Financial Group.


Mark Endeshaw - Meeting Scribe



Mark Endeshaw is majoring in Software Engineering. He has background in Android application development and network configuration. Mark Worked for a year in Trinity structural tower Inc. and ISU Dining for two years.


Sam Hassebroek - Project Manager



Sam Hassebroek is also a Senior in Software Engineering. Sam enjoys working with application development, web development, and problems that require interesting solutions. Sam has interned with Kingland Systems the past two summers working on their Kingland Platform and Text Analytics projects. Sam experienced working with Angular, Springboot, Amazon Web Services, ElasticSearch, and many other facets of Kingland's technical stack. Sam, in his free time, enjoys playing board games with his roommates, watching sports, and cooking. After graduating this spring, Sam plans to stay in Ames and working full time with Kingland Systems.
